Mission and Vision.

The mission of LENEPWHA is to promote unity among its members to strive for greater involvement of people living with HIV/AIDS in Lesotho; in their day to day livelihoods, where they enjoy equal rights, opportunities and societal responsibility against stigma and discrimination.

Objectives

2.1 To raise awareness throughout Lesotho concerning the scourge of HIV/AIDS, how to prevent and control the pandemic and transmission of and other STIs.

2.2 To promote the establishment of support groups for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs) including AIDS orphaned children in Lesotho.

2.3 To organize Youth Clubs whose basic aim would be to encourage HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention and control.

2.4 To collaborate with relevant institutions in establishing a database which shall be utilized in determining the impact of HIV/AIDS in Lesotho.

2.5 To campaign and educate the communities against the stigmatization and discrimination of people living with HIV/AIDS and those affected by it.

2.6 To encourage dialogue between PLWHA and the rest of the community in order to distigmatize the PLWHA and those affected.

2.7 To establish home-based care facilities for people living with HIV/AIDS and for AIDS orphaned children.

2.8 To campaign for behavioural change in communities and especially among young people with the view to prevent further spread of HIV/AIDS.

2.9 To engage in lobbying, advocacy and all forms of lawful campaigns for the elimination of all forms of prejudices and other obstacles that stand in the way of normal and dignified life for PLWHA.

2.10 To promote organizational, programmatic and resources capacity building of member organizations.

2.11 To lobby the donor community for the support of projects intended for the benefit of the PLWHA

2.12 To device ways and means of income generation for the PLWHAs and AIDS orphaned children.

2.13 To lobby and advocate for accessible and affordable HIV/AIDS treatment for PLWHA.
